{ Ripping off the Band-Aid } #54

October 20, 2014

Well…to be totally honest, I feel like a bandage has just been ripped off my heart. Goodbyes hurt! My loved ones here are ripped away fast!  I miss Hermana Sosa so much already! She helped me in an incredible way and we shared the best times! We worked hard every day together. Now she's gone. Ouch! :(
I will miss wonderful Hermana Sosa!

Today was our transfer meeting and the missionaries leaving bore their testimonies. "Be like kids, everything brings you happiness.” and “Do EVERYTHING to accomplish your dreams." "A Testimony changes the hearts of the people."  Hermana Sosa Also shared her testimony of how she now knows how to be a better Latter-Day Saint. It's true. We are truly learning every day how to be a better Member of the Church of Christ. I love it!  We learn to be more like him every day. We help others through our example so that they can feel the spirit continuously in their lives. We matter to Him. He looks out for us. He loves us. That is the exact reason why we are given trials in this life… to come unto Him and develop humility. We are progressing every day a little bit more to be able to pass the test to enter into eternal rest with our Heavenly Father. Although I need to step outside of my comfort zone 24/7 here, I enjoy the feeling of sharing my testimony to all of this area.

This week we set up our family history stand in the park and it was successful for 45 minutes, then it started pouring!  All of the youth were involved and we went off to invite everyone to check out the Mi Familia stand. We showed everyone our own family trees to inspire them to find their ancestors! I enjoyed making mine and I'm excited to get more into Family History. We may not have been outside for too long at our little stand, but we plan on doing it another time to invite even more. There are so many different ways to invite others to listen to the Restored Gospel!

This week we had a ton of success with bringing the members to lessons. They are getting more and more involved in missionary work and we love it! We felt the spirit so strong just from hearing a member bear their testimony. I got to spend another day with Hermana Vargas on Friday as her companion and mine went to go tour the Capitol of Buenos Aires as their last shabang in the mission. Then Hermana Sosa's camera got stolen, I was heart broken for her because…How sad to lose the pictures!! She just shrugged it off! haha

We are seeing miracles every day. This week will be a real test. I am hoping to be able to find my way around the area, hoping that I can get to know my new companion Hermana Flores from Paz, El Salvador really well. Tune in next week, Pray for me! I'll be sure to write more next time. Have a great week! XOXO
