Hey Hey Hey!!
Another great week here in Cañuelas!
Sunday we got to teach Primary…that was interesting and super
fun! We tricked all the kids with this magic game that we made up so that's
going around the whole branch now haha. I don't know how to explain it but...
everyone thinks we're magicians. Cool story.... okay so... haha
We visited the family Suto in Barrio Municipal and had a Family
Home Evening with them. After lots of years of not going to church, Hermana
Suto told us that she started reading her scriptures and praying again after
the day we talked to her. We shared a message with them about Christ and it's
honestly one of my favorites. The spirit was so strong and as everyone closed
their eyes we told them to think about Christ and all that he did for us…all
that we are blessed with and at the end Hermana Villena and I sang " I
Need Thee Every Hour" with their eyes still shut and we got to hear their
testimonies of Christ’s influence in their lives. So great!
This week is transfers! We'll see what happens…if I go somewhere
else… but I've had lots of fun with Hermana Villena. Changes are the norm so
pray for me!! haha
I had so much fun on exchanges this week with Hermana Salas! She
is Hermana Figueroa’s best friend from back in Chile and she also served in
Pinamar so we had a blast! Although the sun beat down on us all day, we ended
the day with dinner with the family Boroda…. An inactive family that is
starting to invite the missionaries again. We laughed and laughed! Also, Hermanana
Boroda taught us how to make empanadas! I suck at it but it's all good!
haha Just a fun day as a missionary!
I was reading in Alma 32 this morning all about faith. I love
it!! Don't have much time to talk about it but take a look…it's good stuff!
Monica and Tobias and family!!! Tobias (12) is preparing for
baptism the 29th and we're praying for Monica lots! Keep her in your prayers,
she's amazing! :)
Love you all lots!!! Thanks for the support!
Hermana Barrett
