{ Elder Holland & Burger King } #6

Hola familia! Thank you so much for the letters and e-mails!
It is always exciting to hear from you!

This week went by so fast! The big event this week was our weekend trip into Buenos Aires to enjoy a wonderful mission conference with Elder Holland. (He is a General Authority, and one of the 12 Apostles for our church.) I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to hear him as he taught us. Our whole mission, Buenos Aires South, along with Buenos Aires North and West were there as well! We took long bus rides, got very little sleep, met tons of new people and enjoyed it all! What a great opportunity!

In speaking with us, Elder Holland much of the time referenced his Atonement and Missionary talk. How we missionaries are the most prayed for people on this earth and what a huge responsibility we have! That we all need to be truly converted, not just us missionaries but members too! He went into the scriptures a lot… D&C 88 and 50. These are some great missionary chapters. It was as if he hit us with a spiritual fire hydrant!  Haha
I happened to be 10 feet away from him and I felt the spirit was so strongly! He mentioned that of course a mission is difficult because it was difficult for our Savior. We are Disciples of Christ. He also taught that we cannot preach this gospel our way. We must teach it the Lord’s way! Holland related it to Burger King.. haha “Have it your way…” but no.. It's the Lord’s way! Lots more on this next week :)´

Every day I am realizing that I am learning two languages… Spanish and the language of Love. Love is the KEY to this work!  Also being happy no matter where you are and whom you are with!

We are still teaching Eva. She has committed to stop smoking and is doing so well! Her baptismal date is soon and Wow!...she is just the sweetest investigator ever. We love her!

Well, guess what?? Transfers were this week and I'm still in Pinamar AND with Hermana Rodriguez for a guaranteed six more weeks! I am so happy about that! We have become great friends and she can keep training me through it all!

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and remember to give thanks every day for all that we have! We are so blessed!

Love you all so much! Until next week! :)
